Goettl, SmartAC.com collaborate to juice up membership offerings
September 11, 2023
Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing is collaborating with SmartAC.com, a provider of HVAC health monitoring solutions, to enhance its club memberships.
Here’s how it’ll work:
- Technicians install SmartAC.com sensors onto air vents and other parts of customer equipment, requiring no wiring or tools.
- In real-time, these sensors monitor the equipment to identify performance issues and leaks, and can also predict future breakdowns.
- Homeowners use SmartAC.com’s app to see a “check engine-like” dashboard of their system. They can also chat with Goettl’s technicians or order filters when necessary.
- Similarly, Goettl equips itself with an office dashboard that shows customer equipment statuses and will alert them when a customer is in need.
The logic: Goettl’s betting that integrating SmartAC.com into its membership programs will drive conversion and increase loyalty.
The percentage of customers who sign up for club memberships, and the number of those who stick around as a result of having real-time monitoring, should increase – both of which would have a meaningful impact on the bottom line.
Looking ahead: The approach signals a paradigm shift in the industry from reactive to proactive. Instead of responding to emergency calls, Goettl’s looking to spot issues and address them ahead of time, deepening customer relationships as a result.
