Residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical platform Flint Group has launched a sale process, according to people familiar with the matter.
What’s happening: The company has hired investment bank William Blair to run the process, the people said, requesting anonymity because the matter is confidential.
- The sale process is in the early stages, and there’s no guarantee of a deal, the people added.
- Flint generated over $400 million in revenue in 2025, up more than threefold from 2022, according to regional business publication Ingram’s, though current annualized revenue and EBITDA figures couldn’t be ascertained.
A representative for Flint declined to comment. William Blair didn’t return a request for comment.
Zoom out: Founded in 2019 and based in Kansas City, Missouri, Flint Group has partnered with 19 residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical businesses across the U.S., from Washington State to Florida, according to its website.
- In 2023, the company received a strategic investment from private equity firm General Atlantic, which remains a backer. Financial terms weren’t publicly disclosed.
The big picture: While the sale process is in the early stages, it adds to a run of private equity-backed platform activity this year, including Blackstone’s $2.5 billion acquisition of Champions Group, the reported sale process of USA Hometown Experts, and Apollo’s minority investment in Apex Service Partners, which valued the company at $10 billion.
