HVAC distributor Republic Companies last week announced that it’s merging with T.F. Ehrhart, forming the Midwest’s largest independent wholesaler of Johnson Controls equipment.
The big picture: The merger represents the third distributor transaction in the past month alone — and the second in the Midwest.
Zoom in: The companies serve contractors across Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri, distributing York, Luxaire, and Bosch equipment, among other brands.
- “By combining our resources… [and] expertise, we are better positioned to provide our customers with expanded product availability, deeper technical support, and enhanced logistics capabilities,” said Todd Wade, CEO of Republic Companies.
- No financial terms were disclosed.
What’s next: While no timeline was provided, “The integration of the two companies will proceed seamlessly,” a statement said.
