Yelp will acquire home services-focused tech company Hatch for $300 million, the companies announced Wednesday.
What’s happening: Hatch, which uses AI to book leads and automate follow-ups for contractors across a slew of channels, has been integrated with Yelp since November 2025.
- “Yelp is the demand side, and Hatch [is] the conversion side,” Hatch CEO Chris Bache tells Homepros. “This partnership… gives us an incredible amount of resources to improve the platform.”
- The company plans to continue investing in its AI CSR product — and “double down on integrations with all the other lead platforms and CRMs,” he adds.
The big picture: The deal reflects a growing embrace of AI among contractors: Hatch’s revenue was up 70 percent year-over-year as of November, according to the announcement.
What they’re saying: “The acquisition of Hatch is an important step forward in Yelp’s AI transformation,” said Yelp CEO Jeremy Stoppelman.
- The transaction is expected to close in early February.
