U.S. wholesale prices of both plumbing fixtures and residential gas water heaters in February were unchanged compared to the month prior. 

What’s happening: A plumbing fixture-specific ‘producer price index’ (PPI), which measures the average change over time in the selling prices domestic manufacturers receive for their products, held steady in February, remaining flat from January — and December 2025 — according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics data. 

  • The index is up 7.9 percent since February 2025.
