What’s happening: Roughly two-thirds of the United States is predicted to face above-normal temperatures to kick off the fall, with ‘normal’ representing the 30-year average.
Zoom in: A swath of states including Florida, Louisiana, and Oklahoma has a 40 to 50 percent chance of experiencing above-normal temps during the month, while an area surrounding the Rockies faces a 60 to 70 percent chance, per the outlook.
